The cause of death of Kris Jenner’s younger sister, Karen Houghton, was cardiac arrest and a sudden cardiac arrhythmia.

Karen, who had a rollercoaster relationship with Jenner, 68, died at age 65 in San Diego, California, on March 19.

The death certificate listed type 2 diabetes as a secondary underlying cause, according to TMZ.

Documentation also revealed that Karen had bipolar disorder. After her death, she was cremated.

Karen was Kris’s only sister, the couple grew up together in San Diego and was predominantly raised by their mother MJ after her divorce from the couple’s father, Robert Houghton.
