“My baby Oakland. I pray that the one who has you will hold you. The one you took from me protects you, ” the father of three wrote on Instagram around 6 p.m. Thursday evening, next to a photo of the missing child.
“You have, however, let’s get back into my arms. I love you Oakland. I can’t wait to hold you again someday. My heart is broken. I am broke.
“To be clear, Oakland is alive, we think. But we don’t know. I have a one-month-old child and I don’t know where she is. ‘

O’Toole replied to the tweet saying it was “not a Durham police matter” and suggested that authorities had not informed him that Oakland was safe.

The father of three also hit on people who “ decided to hit me during this ordeal, ” saying he “ may never be recovered. ”

Concern grew for a month’s safety after O’Toole shared the social media news that she had been “ taken. ”

Talk show host Craig Needles tweeted that he “ wept ” on hearing the “ nightmare ” news that Oakland is missing.

Ian McLaren, host of Locked on Boston Bruins, also sent his support to O’Toole and his family.

Skepticism began to increase on social media about the kidnapping after it was revealed that no Amber Alert had been released for a missing child.
A Toronto police spokesperson told DailyMail.com that they had not received reports of a missing one-month-old and that no Amber Alert was issued.
They said it was possible that another police would investigate the kidnapping, but the Toronto police had no information on this.
Peterborough police also told DailyMail.com that they had had no reports and were not investigating a missing baby.
An Ontario provincial police spokesperson also told DailyMail.com that they had “no information.”
O’Toole last posted around 9am on social media. Thursday morning – about nine hours before he posted the news that Oakland was missing – he replied to a tweet saying, “I have to throw it on the show last night !!!!”

He then celebrated the addition to his family on May 27 when little Oakland made her national TV debut on SportsCentre with Jay and Dan.
In a clip from the show on the Jay and Dan Instagram account, O’Toole introduces the newborn to viewers.
