A 13-year-old girl has been bitten by a shark off the coast of Queensland.

The teenager was attacked on a beach at Bargara, near Bundaberg, just after 4pm on Friday.

She was taken to the local surf club where the bleeding was stopped. She is now being treated for minor back injuries at Bundaberg Hospital.
