Washington DC has been labelled the least desirable place in the country to live, according to a new survey.
In a new study by Clever, the company surveyed 1,000 people in June and analyzed migration data from the U.S. Census.
The company found that the nation’s capital, for the second year in a row, is the one that generates the most dislike among Americans.
According to the results, 33 percent of respondents said it is one of the five worst cities in the country, compared to 20 percent last year.
Sixty-five percent of respondents say the high cost of living makes a location undesirable, with New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco also making the list of unfavorable locations.

DC has become notorious for its squalor and crime, with 274 murders in 2023, the highest number since 1997.
