The body of a man was found washed up on a beach south of Sydney.
New South Wales police were called to Stanwell Park beach, about 60 kilometers south of Sydney’s CBD, before 7.30am on Tuesday following the grim discovery.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, has not yet been formally identified.
Wollongong Police officers responded to reports that a body had been found on the beach and immediately established the crime scene.
An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, the cause of which has not yet been determined.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
