The Block's Scott Cam Addressed Shocking On-Set Flirting Scandal and Responded to Accusations That Drama Was

The Block’s Scott Cam addressed the shocking on-set flirting scandal that rocked the show and responded to accusations that the drama was “orchestrated.”

Viewers were left stunned in recent scenes in which Brad Baker’s wife Kylie walked out of the production after overhearing her husband “flirting” with another contestant.

The scandal began when Mimi Belperio, who is married to her co-star Kristian, went alone to Brad and Kylie’s house for a drink and ended up ‘flirting’ with Brad.

Now the show’s host Scott, 61, has addressed the shocking twist and shut down claims that the entire drama was scripted by Channel Nine production.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia at Upfronts on Thursday, he said: “Our show is very organic, we leave them to their own devices.”

“We did not orchestrate any of that drama. Everything happens organically due to lack of sleep and time pressures.’

Scott continued to stir up even more drama in the coming weeks, as he said that sometimes it becomes “impossible” to calm things down between the contestants.

“We try to calm him down as best we can, but sometimes it’s impossible, as you will discover in the next two weeks,” he confessed.

The Block was rocked by the shocking ‘flirtgate’ scandal on Monday night, with Brad admitting that he had ‘singlehandedly destroyed my family’ with his actions.

In stunning scenes, Brad’s wife Kylie left the production and apparently flew home to Cairns after overhearing her husband “flirting” with fellow contestant Mimi.

The drama began when Mimi and Brad chatted over drinks at home while Kylie was napping nearby, and Brad admitted he had crossed a line with his comments.

‘I said some pretty inappropriate comments. “He was flirting with Mimi…Kylie overheard them and is understandably quite upset,” he later explained.

During a subsequent phone conversation with her mother, Kylie revealed exactly what happened during the shocking conversation between her husband and Mimi.

‘Flirting, as well as talking really inappropriately. How many fucking chances have I given him? Over and over again,” he told his mother.

Kylie, who shares four children with Brad, then revealed one of the devastating comments her husband made during the flirtatious exchange.

‘Oh, you know I would follow your Onlyfans,’ the electrician and plumber allegedly told Mimi, within earshot of his ‘sleeping’ wife.

Now the show's host Scott, 61, has addressed the shocking twist and rubbished claims that the entire drama was scripted by Channel Nine production.

She also alleged that Brad was “complaining” about her during the conversation and claimed it had “happened before.”

Kylie immediately left the show, and host Scott announced her departure from the construction site the next morning, and she has not been seen since.

“We found her car, her Block phone, all the high-visibility devices… We’ve done everything we can to locate her and they haven’t seen her,” he said.

Kylie abandoned her vehicle at 2:34 pm that day, taking only her bag, and Brad speculated that Kylie had returned to Cairns to be with her children.

A recorded message on the phone provided by Block to Kylie seemed to support his theory, as she admitted that her marriage was “breaking down.”

‘Okay, then I’ll say goodbye. I can’t be on national television while my marriage falls apart. So I’m going home and I can’t say I’ll be back,” he announced in the message.

‘You can talk to Brad about the details, but unfortunately I can’t do that anymore. “Thank you for the opportunity and I’m sorry I couldn’t stay until the end, I’m just not strong enough anymore,” Kylie concluded.

Speaking to producers later, Brad admitted that he believed his marriage was “over.”

‘I feel ashamed and I feel sorry that other people have to live with my decisions. She is the last person I want to hurt: her, my children or my family. But I managed to do it anyway. There is no way this will go away or get better. “It’s done,” Brad said.

“I would say that I alone have destroyed my family.”

Breaking her silence over the scandal, Mimi and her husband Kristian told Daily Mail Australia they had flirted, but said they had put the infidelity behind them.

“Our relationship is stronger than ever,” Kristian said when asked about the scandal involving his wife.

‘The thing about the show is that everything we’ve done happened in the past. We have learned from everything we have been through and we are better for it,” Mimi added.

‘So when it happens, it happened in the past. Yes. It doesn’t really bother me.’

They then claimed that there is no tension between them and their co-stars Kylie and Brad following the scandal.

“It took leaving The Block to say, ‘Okay, let’s reflect on our experience and what we’ve learned from this,'” Mimi added.
