The Block stars Dan Reilly and Dani Wales have shared a heartbreaking post following the tragic death of their daughter.
The reality TV couple took to Instagram just before Christmas to share the news that their newborn daughter Billie Vera Reilly had passed away at just 10 days old.
The couple took to Instagram this week to share another emotional tribute to their beloved daughter as they continue to mourn their devastating loss.
They posted separate photos of themselves with baby Billie while talking about the “happy memories” they had with her before her death.
Dan, who serves as a foreman on The Block, shared a photo of him and Dani smiling as they took molds of Billie’s footprints while she was in the hospital.
In an accompanying caption, Dan emotionally shared that being a father to Billie has taught him more than he has ever learned in his entire life.

“One of the many amazing times we had with our precious Billie,” he wrote.
‘Although it was short, we have many happy memories. Billie taught me more about life in 10 days than she did in 41 years on this planet. She is the gift I am so grateful for.
“Her mother and my wife @dani_wales have been so inspiring seeing the love and strength she gave to our family every day.”
Dan encouraged people to make a donation in Billie’s honor to the Royal Women’s Hospital through her memory. fundraising page.
“We are so grateful to be able to have these memories and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible efforts of @theroyalwomens NICU,” she added.

The fundraiser has already raised $21,229 for the hospital’s NICU consultants, nurses and staff.
On Sunday, Dani also posted a black and white photo of the two of them with Billie while gushing that she will talk about her beloved daughter “forever.”

She wrote: ‘We recently received some cinematic photos from the wonderful @mrskevinsphotos of our little family photoshoot we did with our baby girl Billie.
‘Every moment captured with her is phenomenal and our walls will be covered soon, but I keep coming back to this one.
‘Observing its perfection again and again. Our family, very happy, forgetting about everything else for a moment (even Billie’s best nurse, Cathy, kneeling below us holding tubes) and just hugging each other.
‘Everything in life led us to that moment of pure happiness holding our most magical and beautiful creation to date.
‘Despite never seeing our faces or making a sound, she found the strength to give us the time we had with her and the opportunity to hold her and experience this feeling was everything. She is everything.
“We will talk about her forever and do amazing things to make a difference in her honor and make sure everyone knows who Billie Reilly is.”
The heartbroken couple took to Instagram on December 20 to announce that Billie had passed away at 10 days old.
They posted a photo of themselves cuddling while standing next to their daughter’s crib in the hospital.

In a tribute, Dani shared her “insurmountable” grief and said she and Dan feel “honored” to be Billie’s parents.
They wrote: ‘Billie Vera Reilly 8/12/24 – 12/18/24. It is with insurmountable pain that we share the news that our daughter Billie passed from this life to the next at just 10 days old.
‘During Billie’s short time in this world, she taught us an intensity of love and pain we never thought possible. She taught us what really matters.
‘Billie was so dear, so loved and she made us parents… and what an honor it is to be her mom and dad. She will always be our daughter.
“It’s clear to us that Billie was too good for this world, but if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that Billie’s legacy will have an impact greater than all of us.
‘Thank you @mrskevinsphotos for capturing such beautiful family photos for us and also to @heartfelt_ausnz for capturing many of Billie’s first photos.

The couple first came to national attention when they appeared on the 2012 series of The Block, taking home second place and a winning of $448,000.
Dani closed her post by asking for privacy and telling her followers that they will share more about Billie’s story in the future.
“Lastly, we understand that there will be questions and many of the answers we don’t have yet,” he added.
‘We will share more over time, but for now we ask for privacy as we work through this together and with our loved ones.
‘”You look so pretty, as pretty as the sun. I could watch forever, while you shine for everyone.” We love you Billie.’
Dan and Dani announced they were expecting their first child together in a post shared on Instagram in July.
The couple first came to national attention when they appeared on the 2012 series of The Block, taking home second place and a winning of $448,000.
The couple returned in 2013 for the series The Block All Stars, coming in third place and earning $220,000.
Dan has since taken on the role of foreman on the show and also hosts the Dan vs Dani series, critiquing each team’s Room Reveals each week.
The couple married in 2018 in an intimate ceremony on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
