The Block star Charlotte has responded to rumors that a romance is brewing between her and builder Jack.
Charlotte and her sister Maddie recruited Jack, a carpenter who works in his real-life home remodeling business, to help them in the competition.
The pair have increasingly relied on the helpful collaboration for company as they struggle to break the ice with the other teams.
On Tuesday’s episode, producers fanned the flames of a potential romance by airing a “love-struck” montage of Charlotte and Jack together on set to the tune of Foreigner’s iconic ballad I Want To Know What Love Is.
Sitting on the couch with Maddy, a producer asked Charlotte directly if there was anything romantic between the pair.
“Let me make this very clear: there is no romance between Jack and I,” she responded.
“You can smash that one.”
The producer continued unabated in his quest to discover new love, telling the reality star that there was chemistry between her and Jack.

“Well, there’s nothing,” Charlotte replied matter-of-factly.
“We are not each other’s type and nothing romantic has ever happened between us.”
talking to Yahoo LifestyleCharlotte doubled down on the plutonic nature of her relationship with Jack.
“To be clear, there is no romance between Jack and I,” Charlotte reiterated.
“We have known each other as close friends for about four years and nothing has ever happened. Nothing will ever happen.

The Sydney Sisters entered the heated 20th season of the renewal competition earlier this month, after couple Paige Beechey and Jesse Maguire downed their tools.
talking to Yahoo Lifestyle On Tuesday, Maddy said she found it quite difficult to watch the season because of how the other contestants treated her and her sister.
“Sunday night’s episode really bothered me,” Maddy told the publication. “I thought, ‘I can’t watch this.’
“These people are being cruel to us and I really don’t understand why.”
The couple’s competitors were less than impressed with Sunday night’s guest bathroom reveal, calling the room “safe” and “vanilla.”
“Let me make this very clear: there is no romance between Jack and I,” she responded. “You can smash that one.”
Rivals Kylie and Brad Baker were furious and went so far as not to offer any applause when the duo won the challenge.
However, the final edit also showed Kylie and Brad telling the cameras that the competition was “rigged” because the sisters were “the most hated people on The Block.”
“We didn’t do anything to them to deserve that behavior,” Maddy continued as she broke her silence this week after the events aired.
“To be clear, there is no romance between Jack and I,” Charlotte reiterated to Yahoo Lifestyle.
