The Block star Eliza Paschke has expressed her strong disapproval of a disturbing trend plaguing the modern dating scene: ghosting.

The reality TV star shared her thoughts in a recent article with 9honeyexpressing frustration at the increasing number of haunting incidents he has heard about.

“I’ve been hearing a lot of horror stories about ghosts lately, and I’m taking a stance,” he wrote.

Ghosting, as Paschke explained, involves abruptly ending communication with someone without warning, often leaving the other party confused and hurt.

This can leave lasting psychological impacts, making it difficult for those affected to trust new romantic partners and establish stable relationships.

“It’s a modern dating term that refers to someone who abruptly cuts off contact without warning,” he said, emphasizing the pain such actions can cause.

“I truly believe ghosting is one of the biggest, grossest, most dastardly dating habits of our time.”

In an open critique, Paschke described ghosting (the act of suddenly cutting off all communication with someone without explanation) as “disgusting,” “cowardly,” and a significant detriment to contemporary relationships.

“When someone abandons me and tries to sneak away unseen, I’ve been known to send out some sarcastic final words,” he said, recounting his futile attempts to provoke a reaction from the ghosts.

Paschke also highlighted the role of technology in facilitating this unhealthy behavior.

“We can thank social media and online dating for the increase in disappearing acts,” he said.

Eliza was an assistant to Hamish Blake and Andy Lee for 10 years before her breakout appearance on season 19 of The Block last year.
