Eliza Paschke was an assistant to Hamish Blake and Andy Lee for 10 years before her breakout appearance on season 19 of The Block.
And now the 37-year-old has revealed her shocking career change in a Tuesday Instagram post.
Eliza revealed she was “taking advantage of my journalism degree (and love life)” in a regular column for website 9Honey.
And her former boss was one of the first to congratulate her in the comments.

And many fans chimed in with their own congratulations.
“OMG I relate to Eliza so much,” one follower wrote.
“I’m so proud of you,” added her Block co-star Steph Ottavio.
Eliza and her sister Liberty came in second place on the 2023 season of The Block, taking home a whopping $1.05 million after smashing their $3.25 million haul.
Ottavio and her husband Gian won with a whopping $5 million bid for their home, putting $1.75 million over their reserve.
And now the 37-year-old has revealed her shocking career change in a Tuesday Instagram post.
Paschke has been very open about her professional relationship with Andy Lee after working as the radio star and Hamish Blake’s personal assistant for 10 years.
But intimate details about The Block star’s personal relationship with Lee were revealed last year.
So dramatic! reported that Eliza was living with boss Andy Lee and his partner Rebvecca Harding in 2022.
“Eliza is really downplaying her connection between Hamish and Andy on The Block,” a source told the publication, as they unearthed old audio from the Hamish & Andy podcast.
On the show’s revived episode from July last year, the radio legends played a prank call on Rebecca, 32, posing as an insurance company.

During the phone call, Andy posed as an insurance agent and confirmed the details of a recent accident that occurred at the home he shares with Rebecca.
‘The incident occurred at your house… And is it correct that the residents of the house include you, Andrew Lee and then Eliza… is it Paschke?’ Andy said.
Rebecca quickly confirmed that those were the three people who lived in her house.
