The auction day on The Block went off in style.

Blockheads gathered on Charming Street in Hampton East, Melbourne on Saturday with large ‘Sold’ signs indicating some homes have found buyers.

A group of well-dressed bidders posed in front of one of the homes under a sign saying it had been sold.

Among those vying for a new home was comedian Dave Hughes who had his game in mind.

The Project star is known to be a fan of the show and paid $3 million for Josh and Elyse’s Elsternwick estate during a previous season.

Likewise, the show’s host, Scott Cam, was on the floor and gave a thumbs up as he arrived.

There was drama as an ambulance had to be called when a medical incident occurred at Steph and Gian’s house auction.

A woman in her 30s collapsed and was taken to hospital due to a pre-existing health condition.

This comes after it was reported that Blockheads Eliza and Liberty said they would not walk away with the big sums of money on auction day.

The two men are furious because they are convinced that the reserve price of their property, House 5, has been set too high.

“There’s no way we’re going to win,” Eliza said Friday.

“Because it’s just unrealistic. And in comparison with others. Like they (the other contestants) should all be really happy.

Eliza made the comments during an appearance on Jase and Lauren from KIIS 101.1.

Liberty, who joined Eliza for the radio interview, said she expected Steph and Gian to win.

‘Yeah. But look, Steph and Gian have about 657 buyers for their house. They are real scammers.

“But yeah, I mean, actually, they really deserve it because they hustle. We just don’t,” she said.

Teasing the duo’s battle with Kristy and Brett all season, Liberty added that the pals wouldn’t be happy if “some of the other houses won”.

However, Eliza interrupted and looked like she was now ready to put aside any old issues the couple might have with the other fools.

“No, we wouldn’t be mad (if the others won). Can I just say I’ve turned over a new leaf. I can’t reveal anything but there was a moment,” Eliza said.

Reserve prices for the auction will be kept secret until just before the start of the auction.

But the sale price of Eliza and Liberty’s House 5 was reported to be between $2,800,000 and $3,000,000, which is in line with the market value of similar properties.
