At the age of 28, Wright was diagnosed with leukemia in October 2017, and while he seemed to be beating it, he relapsed and was diagnosed with more severe form of leukemia in December 2018.
Wright wrote on Facebook in December 2018: & # 39; Hello everyone! As you may have seen from my beautiful wife, mother, sister and family and friends, we are dealing with a relapse. I started to feel other symptoms last week and after some blood work and a biopsy in yesterday's bone marrow, my leukemia is relieved.
& # 39; The plan is now being made, but a rough estimate was to take me to the University of Iowa Hospital (where I am now), if the Lord is willing to get remission again and then perform a transplant . Many of you have graciously asked to become a donor, we will tell you more about it as soon as we know more.
& # 39; We still trust God here. I was not prepared for this and my heart is quick to be tempted by anger and bitterness to get through it (probably because it feels easier than tears). We will update more if we find out in the coming days.
