The Bachelor Irena Srbinovska reveals morning sickness has her on an IV with ‘relentless’ nausea as she awaits the birth of her first child with Locky Gilbert
Irena Srbinovska has revealed that the morning sickness she had in the first trimester of her pregnancy has continued into the second trimester.
During a Q+A on Instagram Stories on Sunday, the former reality star, who is expecting her first child with husband Locky Gilbert, revealed that the nausea and vomiting continued.
The 32-year-old shared a video filmed during her first trimester and said she “hoped” the condition would improve, but it didn’t.
In the clip, Irena said she felt ‘bad’ and admitted her pregnancy had been ‘sh*t’ so far, but the disease had been ‘brutal’.
“I was so hopeful that the nausea and vomiting has now gotten worse even in the second trimester,” she wrote.

‘The girls at work were so good, Locky was great (he holds my hair) and (my) poor (dog) Odin sits at my feet when I throw up.
‘Nothing seemed to work. I have tried everything, including prescription medications, but without improvement,” Irena continued.
‘The only thing that helps is being on a drip. I was initially losing weight but have now started gaining weight, I am now fighting the nausea a lot better.
“If you have any tips, send them my way!” she concluded.

The married couple announced their pregnancy last week, as the lovebirds are expecting their first child together early next year.
The Bachelor stars, who found love on Channel 10’s matchmaking show in 2020, were all smiles as they made their happy announcement on Instagram.
After the heartbreak of two miscarriages in two years, the couple was over the moon to announce the big news in a heartwarming video.
The beautiful footage started with Locky, 30, standing on a windswept beach in a white linen button-down shirt and shorts, staring into the distance.

As the handsome father-to-be showed off his chest tattoos, he stepped aside with a smile and revealed Irena wearing a white bikini as she cradled her emerging baby bump.
“2023 has been a year full of surprises, and now Locky and I are happy to share the biggest surprise of our lives: waiting for a new member to join our family,” Irena wrote.
“While we enjoy our good fortune, we are deeply sensitive to those who face the trials of infertility or have suffered losses.”
Irena and Locky married earlier this year in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends in Melbourne.

The couple met on season eight of The Bachelor, with Locky choosing Irena over aspiring Instagram model Bella Varelis.
In 2021, the couple revealed that they suffered a miscarriage during their first few months together.
Speaking to Who magazine, Irena described the loss as a “devastating low point” and said the miscarriage may have been related to the stress she experienced after her bachelor’s degree.
Irena revealed she had suffered a second miscarriage earlier this year.
