“I’m sad that I’m heartbroken again,” Rachel said in a confessional. “I will always have love for Joey.”

Rachel, 26, an ICU nurse from Honolulu, Hawaii, cried as she said goodbye to Joey, 28, and he cried when she left. Rachel returned for the live show, joining host Jesse Palmer, 48, on stage and cried again as she watched the rose ceremony scene.

“I was definitely in love with him, but who wouldn’t be, he’s amazing,” Rachel said. “I have no regrets and I think I really opened myself up as much as I could back then.”

Joey joined her on stage and told her that he cared about her so much and only wanted the best for her. Rachel said she gained confidence from being on the show and thanked Joey for that.

Rachel then broke down and said from her hometown that she had received a lot of hate messages.

“A lot of racists make comments towards me and, you know, they just call me the N-word or call me jungle Asian, all because I have a rose,” Rachel said.

Rachel said she was sad for her family to see people attacking them and their culture.

“You never deserve this,” Joey said.

Jesse said that this season there has been a noticeable increase in hate on social media.

“I would just like to remind people that we are not just faces on screen,” Rachel said. “Women trying to find love, people are so quick to become little keyboard warriors and get away with it because there are no consequences. But we have to pay the consequences emotionally and mentally and… just be kind. Your words carry weight.

At the start of the two-hour show, Jesse asked Lea Cayanan, 23, an account manager in Waipahu, Hawaii, why she threw her “one-on-one card steal” into the fire in front of everyone the world.

“I knew it wasn’t right to use it,” Lea said. “So here it is in front of your face. Here we go. It’s me on a business trip. That way, no one has to worry or feel any anxiety like, ‘Oh, is this that my tête-à-tête will be taken?”

“But I also think that no one is upset that you put it in the fire,” said Maria Georgas, 29, an executive assistant from Ontario, Canada. ‘I think a lot of us respected you for doing that. But acting like you did it for us, the women of the house, that’s where the problem lies.

Jesse interviewed Madina Alam, 31, a mental health therapist from Charlotte, North Carolina, about Lea’s confrontation in Malta over the drama between Maria and Sydney Gordon, 28, a vintage store owner from Newport , Rhode Island.

“She would tell me who to be friends with,” Madina said.

Madina said Lea made herself out to be this “girl’s girl” and told her she owed her an apology.

“I agree…it wasn’t my place,” Léa said. “But then you talked to Maria about it and said Lea wanted everyone to be mean to you and that wasn’t the conversation. »

“But that was the conversation,” Maria said. “When I came back from my two-on-one. I entered the quietest room. Nobody was happy for me. No one had a smile on their face, but Madina looked at me and said ‘you look beautiful’ and is that a problem?’

Maria said she never told Lea to “shut up” and the accusation fell on Joey.

“I said it,” said Lauren, 28, Allison’s older sister. “She was telling me to be patient and calm and super condescending for no reason.”

The women spilled the beans and argued during the two-hour episode.

Maria stood up and clapped. Lea said she didn’t care about the comment. Maria reminded her that she kept talking about it, so she obviously cared.

“I just don’t want to smell like gaslighting,” Lea said.

Madina said she was disheartened to learn that her comment about being worried about her age had turned into a conversation in the house.

“There was never any bullshit,” Maria said. “The idea that this was going around this house and I was talking shit pissed me off.”

Madina admitted that maybe she shouldn’t have used the word “bully,” but that she felt stuck.

“But you could have shut it down, and you didn’t,” said Starr Skyler, 25, a mental health counselor from Delray Beach, Florida.

“When I heard that Madina said she felt intimidated at that time, I felt like I had to say something,” Sydney said. “My true intention was simply to defend a friend.”

“No, it wasn’t,” said Edwina Door, 25, an entrepreneur from Maple Grove, Minnesota. “Sydney never liked Maria from the beginning.”

Sydney told Maria that they just had different ways of communicating.

“I tell the truth and you make up lies,” Maria said. ‘You are absolutely right. You are absolutely right. We speak different languages.

“She’s the one who was bullied,” said Taylor Wiens, 23, a recruiter from Olathe, Kansas, pointing to Maria.

“Also, the way she handled things was not right and she takes no responsibility for any of it,” Jess said.

“You called me ab****, what are you talking about?” » said Maria.

Maria took center stage and said her bond with Joey was undeniable.

“It was pretty strong,” Maria said.

Maria said it was obvious she loved Joey.

Jesse asked Maria what her father’s reaction was after Joey didn’t give her a rose and sent her home.

“Joey had an idea about him. He should probably sleep with one eye open,” Maria joked.

Maria said she didn’t know why Sydney had such a negative impression of her.

“I pride myself on being honest,” Sydney said. “And those things you said – the weird, stupid, annoying, embarrassing things – those things happened.”

Sydney admitted that they both said things in the moment.

“I should have been more resolution oriented instead of pointing fingers at you,” Sydney said.

“I just get heated when I feel like I’m being attacked or I feel like my character is being attacked,” Maria said. “I also want to say, Sydney, that the hatred you are generating on social media has crossed the line and is something I do not tolerate.”

“Thank you,” Sydney said.

Lea apologized to Maria and said she should have taken the opportunity to get to know her.

Maria ran over and hugged Sydney and Lea and said she wanted them all to make up.

“It’s like my worst nightmare come true,” Joey said.

Kelsey went to Joey’s room to talk.

“I just wanted to tell you how much I miss you when you’re not here,” Kelsey said.

Joey sighed in relief. Kelsey said she wanted to tell him she wanted to meet his family. Joey told him that he always feared he would be heartbroken.
