The Bachelor: Barefoot Ali Oetjen leaves a yoga class on the Sunshine Coast

Barefoot Ali Oetjen abandons a yoga class on the Sunshine Coast after lashing out at The Bachelor for ‘taking authenticity out of love’ and ‘being highly manipulated’

Ali Oetjen showed off her washboard abs and chiseled arms as she left a yoga class in Maroochydore, on the Sunshine Coast, on Tuesday.

The former bachelor, 36, who is known for her dedication to fitness, tied her blonde hair in a ponytail and carried a yoga mat over her shoulder.

The wellness influencer showed off her natural beauty by going makeup-free and completed her sporty look with a simple necklace and fitness watch.

At one point, Ali looked distracted as she read a text message on her phone.

She recently joined the chorus of former singles who spoke out after Channel 10 shut down the dating show after years of low ratings.

Despite its counterpart The Bachelor getting a makeover this year with three single men looking for love, The Bachelorette won’t get an eighth season in 2022.

Ali, who appeared in The Bachelorette in 2018, as well as Tim Robards’ 2013 season of The Bachelor and season one of Bachelor in Paradise, suggested the show’s stopping was due to “low ratings.”

“My assumption might be that viewers aren’t seeing full reality anymore, but [instead] a highly manipulated and strategic show with predictable characters and composed scenarios,” she said, comparing The Bachelorette to MAFS.

‘They got the authenticity out of love. Viewers can see it’s just for entertainment and not to represent “reality,” she continued.

Channel 10 content boss Beverley McGarvey confirmed earlier this month that The Bachelorette will no longer appear on screens in 2022.

However, Ms McGarvey said it’s not completely ruled out for future seasons.

“I think a little scarcity this year will probably help us move forward,” she told TV Tonight.

Ali previously spoke about her fitness routine in an interview with Women’s Health in October 2018.

“Every morning is a 3km walk or run along the river,” she said, revealing she does a full workout every day.

She does ‘one hour of boxing and/or 1.5 hours of dance class’ on Mondays, while Tuesdays are reserved for ’45 minutes of cycling or full body weight training’.

Ali does “one hour of running or martial arts” on Wednesday, followed by “one hour of boxing” on Thursday.

She said Friday is reserved for yoga, while Saturday is “45 minutes of cycling or weight training, then an afternoon walk.”

Ali rounds out the week on Sunday with ‘a run and yoga’.

“My key to always being fully engaged, motivated and excited by my workouts is to make them fun and dynamic!” she said on Instagram in October.
