A new CIA recruiting video has been widely ridiculed online after the recruit described himself as an “ intersectional cisgender millennial. ”

The CIA officer, known only as Mija, 36, tells viewers that she is’ impudent me ‘, adding that she suffers from’ impostor syndrome ‘but now refuses to internalize’ misguided patriarchal ideas about what a woman can or should to be’.

But the clip has provoked a fierce response online, with users labeling it as ‘awake’. Another said, “The world is making fun of us.”

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted, “China and Russia will love this.”

Former CIA officer Bryan Dean Wright tweeted, ‘The CIA has always been about a mission to the country. (I speak from experience).

Now it’s about demanding – and obtaining – housing to mend an emotional wound or advance a personal agenda. America is less safe with this new CIA, and more dangerous politically. ‘

Another Twitter user compared it to a Saturday Night Live skit.

The clip was shared on Twitter on April 28 in a post saying, ‘I’m unapologetically myself. I want you to be unapologetically yourself, whoever you are.

Whether you work at #CIA or anywhere in the world. Control your space. Mija, you are worth it. ‘

Agent Mija tells viewers, ‘I am intersectional, but my existence is not a box-checking exercise. I am a walking statement, a woman whose declension does not come up at the end of her sentences, suggesting that a question has been asked. ‘

The clip does not detail the qualifications required to work in the CIA or what the role entails.

Mija adds: ‘I am a woman of color. I am a mother. I am a cisgender millennial who has been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. ‘

One Twitter user noted, “ I hope the CIA will actually hire failing brain millennials with debilitating fear, like in the ad. that would be hilarious.

“Sam Fisher is imprisoned and tortured for hyperventilating the analyst working on his mission for being tweeted.”

Matt Taibbi added, “What’s telling about this video is that it speaks to the CIA’s assessment of who would be interested in working for them. Obviously, they think they have an appeal to wake up millennials – and they’re probably right. ‘

The clip opens with Mija – filmed in slow motion – walking to the camera and telling that he is a 17-year-old student.

She says, “I can change a diaper in one hand and comfort a crying toddler with the other.

“I earned my way in and I earned my way up the ranks.

“I’m tired of feeling like I have to apologize for the space I’m occupying.”

Journalist Rania Khaled said, “I remember warning about this danger 7 years ago and getting smeared by tumblr types.”

Michael Treacy added, “I don’t know if the CIA invented / funded / distributed the Woke Ideology, but let’s just say it would make perfect sense.”

Assistant Professor of History at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Asheesh Kapur Siddique said, ‘I’m looking forward to the next video from @ cia explaining how’ enhanced interrogation ‘is actually super awake.’
