A terrified Australian tourist accused of having stolen a bag was shed in tears when the smiling police officers from Bali paraded him in front of the media.
Matthew Richard Woods, 24, could be detained for seven years in an Indonesian prison if he is convicted of grabbing a bag from a Canadian woman in Bali & Canggu on June 19.
The carpenter reportedly stole a bag from Soraya Deghan, 20, before taking an outing with a partner on a motorcycle on Fisherman Ring Road at 10 p.m.
