Ellie Gonsalves has come under fire after taking to Instagram to promote a weight loss programme using a 15-year-old photo.

Ellie Gonsalves went viral early last year after sharing her list of 118 reasons why she doesn’t want to have children on social media.

But now the 34-year-old Australian actress and model has been causing a stir online for a very different reason.

The influencer recently took to Instagram to promote a weight loss program, but in the photos Ellie appeared to use a photo from when she was 15 as her “before” representation.

Instagram account Influencer Updates made the connection on Monday by sharing a screenshot of Ellie’s post.

The post showed her in red lingerie and then looking slimmer in a tiny swimsuit, showing off her progress.

‘Designed by industry experts and with me as the “test subject,” this program took me from feeling unhealthy and drained of energy (left) to feeling like the best version of myself (right).’

In the caption, Influencer Updates wrote: ‘Ellie Gonsalves uses a photo of herself at age 19 (she’s currently 34) as her “before” for her eBook.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Ellie Gonsalves for comment.

This comes after Ellie recently shared some of the trollish comments she received via her Instagram DMs after listing 118 reasons why she doesn’t want to have children.

He posted a screenshot of a message he received on Instagram Stories that read: “You will most likely die alone with no one by your side.”

Ellie replied: “What’s to stop you from dying alone? Haha, having kids isn’t an insurance policy against loneliness. Make friends with some, for God’s sake.”

The Australian model sent her followers into a frenzy after recently posting the list on social media.

Among the reasons she listed were postpartum hair loss, the baby might poop inside you, your vagina might be different, your house might never be tidy, childbirth might cause rectal prolapse and you might miss out on things you love to do.

‘I“While some of the things on my list are satirical, many are serious and factual. The social pressure when it comes to this topic is truly questionable and I think it is unfair to those who have different opinions,” she said of the list.

“Very rarely do we see a voice supporting this, because let’s be honest, the public reaction can be too much,” the influencer added.

Ellie married her long-term partner, businessman Ross Scutts, in two lavish ceremonies in March.

The official nuptials took place at the La Luna floating beach club on the Gold Coast in an intimate toi et moi wedding.

They later had a second luxurious meeting where they invited their bridal party and other guests.

The couple, who have been together for 15 years, have been open about not wanting to have children.
