The Gerard Butler action series Has Fallen moves to the small screen with Paris Has Fallen, a new series starring French actor and director Mathieu Kassovitz.
According to a report from DeadlineParis Has Fallen will see Kassovitz as Vincent, a protection officer for a French minister who is targeted by a terrorist group. The terrorist group is led by series villain Jacob, who always seems to be one step ahead of the series’ protagonists. In order to keep the politician (and all of Paris) safe from Jacob’s terrorist campaign, Vincent teams up with MI6 agent Zara to protect the city.
The remaining cast members aside from Kassowitz have not been confirmed, but reports say the casting process will be finalized soon. So far, Butler will not be participating in the series, but he could appear as a guest star at some point.
It is noteworthy that Butler plays the role of US Secret Service agent Mike Banning in the trilogy of films: Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, and Angel Has Fallen.
