Although the meaning of the bracelets remains a secret known only to them, such gestures have long been emblematic of shared moments, memories and a connection that goes beyond mere meeting.
This comes as the media scrambles to come up with a nickname for the new couple.
Channel Seven’s Sunrise and Nine’s Today shows combined the names of the NRL superstar and the Matildas star to create a nickname for the new ‘super couple’.

The breakfast shows were discussing exclusive Daily Mail Australia photos of the couple hosting a romantic exhibition in Perth when they revealed possible nicknames for Nathan and Mary.
“This is the first time the couple have been seen in such a public display of affection. So now, being sort of the Australian equivalent of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey, we need a name for them,” said Sunrise presenter Edwina Bartholomew.
Co-host Matt Shirvington added: “I’m trying to understand. Maybe Marthan or Nathry?
“It could be Fleary,” Edwina then suggested.
Meanwhile, Today hosts Karl Stefanovic, Sarah Abo and Alex Cullen also shared their suggestions on the couple’s new nickname.
“I’m going with Mcleary,” Sarah said while Alex admitted: “Oh yeah, I like that one.”
It comes just a day after a shirtless Mary and Nathan were spotted sharing tender moments in Perth.
Daily Mail Australia has exclusively revealed photos of the NRL Superstar and his football ace girlfriend spend time together before Matildas party Olympic Games qualifying match.
Mary left the team hotel on Wednesday morning, had coffee and met Nathan, who flew into town to support her as she headlined Australia’s big win over the Philippines Sunday.
The two were seen lying together in the middle of an open waterside park while laughing, kissing, chatting and drinking from the same water bottle.

At one point, Nathan took off his shirt and Mary lay on his chest.
Stars looked playful as they lounged on the grass – throwing empty water bottles into the air and catching them as he put his arm around her and laughed.
They then held hands briefly as they returned to Cleary’s black SUV, where the couple had a brief conversation in the car before leaving, and Fowler returned to her accommodation on foot.
Fowler declined to comment when Daily Mail Australia asked about the romantic display, saying: “Sorry, I just want to go back to my hotel.”

Nathan and Mary first sparked romance rumors in August after they were photographed together walking along the banks of the Nepean River in Penrith, western Sydney.
The two were later seen sharing an ice cream following a promotional event hosted by Adidas, a brand supported by both athletes.
Last Sunday, Nathan was also pictured with two Matildas supporters outside Optus Stadium just before the Australians’ 8-0 win over the Philippines, with Mary scoring the opening goal.
The NRL star also liked a post Mary made on his Instagram on Monday – the first time he has taken this step on social media.
Mary posted a series of images from the Matildas’ Olympic qualifying matches, which were liked by many teammates and fellow athletes, including Nathan.
