Beauty and health offers

Not all sizes are discounted, but at the time of writing this article, 1 The 1/4-inch model costs $133 on Amazon and the 1 inch costs $120 at Walmart. This is one of the best hair straighteners I’ve ever used, and I’m furious that I didn’t try it before a few months ago. It got my thick hair completely straight in one or two passes, even the time I straightened my hair with curling products (don’t judge me, I was in a hurry). The outer casing also heats up, which should help if you normally have trouble creating curls with a hair straightener. I actually don’t like where the temperature controls are, as I frequently press them while trying to use it. —Medea Giordano

I have used the viral Cosrx snail mucin every day for years. I think it makes my skin brighter, more elastic and more hydrated, and it’s pretty affordable too. Snail mucin is on sale On their own, these days, but if you’re looking for a complete skincare regimen, this all-in-one skincare kit is worth picking up. It includes a cleanser, an essence, an (excellent) eye cream, and a moisturizer. Obviously, you shouldn’t use these products if you’re allergic to snails. But if you want soft, hydrated, glowing skin, these travel-sized products are worth the splurge — especially when they’re discounted for Prime Day.

Red light therapy has been all the rage lately because it really works to reduce wrinkles. But full-face masks are expensive, with good ones starting at $400 and going up from there. Solawave’s Radiant Renewal Wand is a good introduction to red light, especially if you only have a small area you want to treat, like under your eyes or the “11” lines between your eyebrows. As you pass the red light over your skin, the wand heats up and vibrates. It feels really relaxing to use. —Medea Giordano

This excellent hair straightener has 1-inch plates and a single temperature option: 365 degrees Fahrenheit. It also has a cool trick up its sleeve… plates: HD Motion-Responsive Technology, which means it delivers even heat distribution based on your styling movements. You’ll do less damage to your hair! It also has rounded styling plates for creating curls easily. If you typically crank up the temperature on your flat iron to the max, the Chronos is worth a try. WIRED reviewer Brenda Stolyar says she was impressed with how quickly she could style her hair, even at a lower temperature than she’d normally use.

More luxury hair tools are on sale today, too. The Dyson AirWrap (8/10, WIRED Recommends) appears in our Curling Iron Buying Guide and on our list of the best viral TikTok gifts. The Amazon-exclusive bundle comes with the same tools and accessories as the standard nine-piece kit, but it also includes a storage bag and a detangling comb. The Dyson AirWrap has tons of attachments that can be swapped out for different styling techniques. It also has sophisticated automation: Hold a section of hair in the barrel, and it will automatically wrap around it. The heat comes from hot air, not hot plates, so the AirWrap is gentler on your strands than traditional curling irons. There are four heat settings, three speeds, and a cool-air button for easier settings. This is an advanced hair tool—there’s a reason your hairdresser probably has an AirWrap at their workstation. But if you can get used to the technique, this is a worthwhile investment.

Click on the coupon on the page to apply this discount. The Solawave is great, but you can treat wrinkles and acne for even less with a high-frequency wand. Electrical currents activate gas inside the glass wands, oxygenating the skin and in turn stimulating collagen and killing acne-causing bacteria. Officially, the orange neon gas found in this kit is best for wrinkles and the purple argon gas is best for acne. NuDerma has a kit with bothbut I have never used the argon version and found that the neon gas made my pimples disappear. Not everyone should use high frequency, so avoid it if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, or have metal plates. —Medea Giordano

Dyson also discounted the Airstrait, which dries and straightens hair in one impressive step. Performance varies depending on hair type, length, and thickness, but WIRED reviewer Brenda Stolyar highly recommends it, saying it took from an hour to style her hair to about 25 minutes. It also did a remarkable job of straightening my thick hair, though it took longer rather than saving time. It does, however, eliminate the need for hot plates. Therabody makes quality self-care tools, like its well-known Theragun massagers, but the entire line is a luxury. The TheraFace Pro combines face washing with percussion therapy, microcurrent, and LED lights—red for anti-aging, blue for acne, and infrared to calm inflammation. Oddly, it’s not waterproof, so you can’t wash your face in the shower. It made our tester’s skin smoother and brighter, and even helped relieve pressure caused by allergies. —Medea Giordano

I love this product. I keep it on my nightstand and take it everywhere. The balm is thick, almost sticky, but it melts and absorbs into your lips right away, so they never feel too sticky or heavy. It’s incredibly moisturizing and smells great. Chapped lips? That could never be me. Even in the brutal Midwest winter; even in dusty, sunny festival conditions; even with my nervous vaping and lip-biting habits. Nope. My lips stay soft all year round, and it’s all thanks to this lip mask. It also lasts forever – a little goes a long way. I’m still using the pot I bought two Prime Days ago. My only drawback is that it’s easy to lose the little spatula included. A cheap lip mask reusable applicator It may work if your fingers are bothered by products.
