Shoppers are rushing to Target to buy an affordable summer dress said to be a “dupe” from a popular Australian designer.
The $60 Drop Waist Midi Dress looks similar to the $550 Anna Quan Drop Waist Maxi Dress.
The eye-catching style embodies elegance and sophistication for a classic look that will turn heads at any event.
Both sets are designed with a dropped waist, a white skirt and a black strapless top with a straight neckline.
The Target option is ideal for those on a budget, but is made from a viscose and polyester blend, while the designer alternative is made from cotton.
Forever New is also selling a mid-range option for $150.
An Australian blogger who goes by the name ‘Kmart Insider’ revealed the side-by-side comparison online.
Is the goal to spend $60 for a $550 designer dress? I’m here for it!’ the title said.

The Instagram post quickly caught the attention of others who praised the Target dress.
“Well done, Target,” one wrote.
“First thing tomorrow morning we are heading to the target,” said another.
One-third preferred Target’s budget version over the designer alternative.
The Target dress is available in sizes four to 14, is designed with hidden side pockets and a double layer top. There is also a white version.

Earlier this year, Kmart Australia launched a trendy $35 summer dress that wowed shoppers.
The sleeveless bow back midi dress is a perfect summer staple designed with a pattern inspired by the Amalfi Coast.
The engraving features sketches of lemons, olives, chili peppers, flowers, candles and wine, symbols often associated with Positano in Italy.
Other brands have released similar looks with the trending style; Palm Noosa released a version that costs $360 and Forever New for $189.99.
The Kmart Mid-Length Dress is available in sizes six to 20, and is made with a square neckline, two side pockets, and tie detail at the back.
Kmart Insider also noticed the purchase and shared images on Instagram.
‘This summer’s hottest trend just arrived at Kmart! For just $35 we can all add a touch of European charm to our look,” she wrote.
