The 50 best restaurants in the world have been revealed, and Enjoy Spain was crowned the best place to dine.
The awards, considered the Oscars of international fine dining, were presented at a ceremony at the Wynn in Las Vegas on Thursday.
Six restaurants in the European country made the cut and three of them even achieved a place in the top five.
But Barcelona restaurant Diseño was named the best in the world by the influential 50 Best list in a year dominated by Spanish and Latin American restaurants.
Enjoy opened its doors in December 2014 next to the Ninot market in the heart of the Catalan city.

Enjoy diners can expect dishes executed with technical mastery
Enjoy, which ranked number two last year, is owned and run by chefs Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casanas.
Restaurant diners can expect dishes executed with technical mastery, such as the caviar-filled Panchino donut, frozen gazpacho sandwich, and pigeon with kombu spaghetti, almonds, and grapes.
50 Best, from British Restaurant magazine, describes it as “powerful technique, original thinking and innovative flavors.”
It is run by three chefs who trained at the renowned El Bulli in Roses, Spain, which has topped the Top 50 list five times, including the first in 2002.
A Spanish restaurant also took second place: Asador Etxebarri, in the Basque town of Atxondo.
In third place is the Table by Bruno Verjus in Paris, one of the most expensive in the French capital.
The 50 Best list was launched in 2002 and quickly established itself as an international alternative to France’s renowned Michelin Guide.
It has more than 1,000 voters in 27 regions around the world: a mix of chefs, food writers and “well-traveled gourmets.”
Enjoy and Table de Bruno Verjus also have the three highest Michelin stars, while Asador Etxebarri has one.
Second place went to Asador Etxebarri in Atxondo, Spain.

Maido de Lima, which serves a variety of Japanese food, jumped from 44th to 13th place on the 2016 list of the world’s 50 best restaurants before taking fifth place in 2024.
Atomix, an upscale Korean restaurant in New York, took sixth place.

In eighth place was Copenhagen’s Alchemist, which offers diners an immersive experience

The final of the top 10 best restaurants went to the Don Julio steakhouse in Buenos Aires
Spanish and Latin establishments dominated the top 10 this year, with Madrid restaurant DiverXO in fourth place, Lima’s Maido in fifth, Mexico City’s Quintonil in seventh and Buenos Aires steakhouse Don Julio in tenth.
Sixth place went to Atomix in New York City, an upscale Korean restaurant offering a chef’s tasting menu with drink pairings.
Alchemist in Copenhagen, Denmark, was crowned eighth best and offers diners an immersive dining experience under a dome-shaped roof with various graphic scenes that change throughout the meal.
And ninth place went to Gaggan Anand in Bangkok, Thailand, where diners can sit at the chef’s table and look out over the open kitchen area.
Elsewhere on the list, three Tokyo restaurants were awarded, with Sezanne restaurant being the best in the Japanese capital in 15th place.
Hong Kong saw two of its restaurants make the list, as Wing was the city’s highest new entry on the entire list, at 20, while The Chairman was the highest riser, moving up from 50th for the year. passed to an impressive number 26.
Restaurants can only win the jackpot once, after which they enter a separate “Best of the Best” program.
Members of that elite group include Geranium and Noma in Copenhagen, as well as New York’s Eleven Madison Park, The Fat Duck near London, Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy, and Mirazur in Menton, France.
Last year’s winner, Central from Lima, Peru, now also joins them on that list.
