I live a fairly normal life. I go to work, make a few meals, do a little parenting and partnership, and try to escape for a vacation every now and then. Sometimes, not often, but once in a while I like to end my day with a relaxing cocktail. This $ 4,399.99 fridge from LG understands me. It makes slow-melting ice that is large and round, which every highball player will tell you that it is superior to all other forms in view of undiluted alcohol release.
I mean, just look at this photo from the overview page of the LG LRFVS3006S, aka, the 30 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled InstaView ™ Door-in-Door® refrigerator with Craft Ice ™ Maker:
This refrigerator is clearly aimed at people who use the lounge as a verb, but have never used a refrigerator or know the freezing point of water. BUT … look at the beautiful ice cream in those mixed drinks. That is the work of the so-called "Craft Ice" maker that I really want.
Here's how LG describes it:
The exclusive Craft Ice slow melting ice maker from LG automatically makes artisan ice cream at home without work. No more time-consuming molds that only produce one or two at a time. Give your drinks the perfect ice cream for the next level of entertainment, from artisan cocktails and whiskeys to soft drinks, lemonade, even iced coffee.
Despite the "luxury" promise to "take things to a higher level", those "time-consuming molds" cost only about $ 10 on Amazon and contribute to the zen-like process of measuring and mixing a raised brew. Now that I think about it, that is at least half the pleasure of mixing cocktails at home. Never mind.
