An Adelaide man is planning potential home renovations and travel trips after landing a $400,000 windfall.
The man received the cash injection after winning a weekend lottery draw, and declared the notification phone call “the best call I’ve ever had.”
“At first it said I won, but I thought, ‘Oh yeah, probably $7,'” he said Monday.
“So when I saw the full award, I thought, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me.’
‘That was a pleasant surprise. Better than a kick in the stomach.
‘I’ve been playing the same numbers for a long time. I just checked a few boxes years ago and stuck with them.
“We’re already starting to think about what we could do with $400,000, from home renovations to travel.”
The South Australian had one of 13 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday’s X Lotto draw 4509.

Each winning entry received $401,209.
In Mackay, central Queensland, one mother said she was still “shaking” from the shock of her victory.
“When I checked my ticket right before, I screamed,” he said.
‘My daughter came running to see what was happening. My daughter has been telling me to breathe.
‘TThis will help you pay your bills and mortgage. “It’s incredible.”
