A 37-year-old Ohio man who claimed the coronavirus pandemic was a “ hype ” in a Facebook post, despite the virus killing more than 3.2 million people and killing at least 135,000 Americans, has died.

Richard Rose wrote on Facebook that he experienced COVID-19 symptoms on July 1 and went to get tested. The U.S. Army veteran tested positive and died of the virus at his home just two days later Insider.

But before Rose’s death, he expressed support for President Donald Trump, repulsed the Black Lives Matter movement, and accused Democrats of spreading false information about the pandemic.
