One teenager continued to fight for his life and another was injured after a daylight sign in a West Midlands park.

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of attempted murder after the attack on Chapelhouse Road in Solihull today at around 2:40 pm today.

A victim, a 16-year-old boy, was rushed to hospital after the Marston Green Park incident and is in critical condition.

Another teenager, 19, was also taken to hospital, but has been described as stable.

Witnesses reported seeing an air ambulance in a play area on Moorend Avenue before police closed off part of the green space.

The suspect remains in custody tonight, as witnesses were urged to contact West Midlands police for any information.

Police said in a statement, “We were called to report that two people had been stabbed at Chapelhouse Road, Solihull around 2:40 pm today. Two people were taken to the hospital.

A 16-year-old boy is in a critical condition, while a 19-year-old man is described as stable.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested nearby and taken into custody for interrogation.
