  • A Bangkok man had to beat a snake to death with a toilet brush to get it to let go

A man was bitten on the testicles by a massive python in Thailand, leaving his bathroom sprayed with blood as it desperately beat him to death with a toilet brush.

Horrifying footage shows the aftermath of Thanat Thangtewanon’s exchange with the 12-foot reptile hiding in the U-shaped recess of her home’s toilet on Tuesday.

Thanat said that moments after sitting down he felt a sharp pain that tore through his testicles.

He said: “I felt something bite my testicles. It was really painful so I put my hands in the toilet to see what was wrong. I was really shocked that I had grabbed a snake,” he said.

“I quickly got up and pulled it out. I felt pain, a very strong pain, and there was blood everywhere, but what shocked me most was finding a python in the toilet.”

In a desperate attempt to break its hold, Thanat grabbed the toilet brush and began hitting the snake’s head until it loosened its grip and died.

The father immediately went to a hospital to receive a tetanus shot.

He said doctors told him he wouldn’t need stitches because the wound wasn’t deep enough to cut the skin and would heal in a couple of weeks.

He added: “My testicles are safe now. I’m lucky it wasn’t a poisonous snake. A cobra would have killed me.”

‘But I haven’t used that bathroom since.

‘Every time I go, I check what’s inside and put a brush in there to make sure.’

Python attacks on people using toilets have already occurred several times in Thailand.

In 2016, a resident, Attaporn Boonmakchuay, was ambushed by a 3-meter-long python while using a squat toilet in Chachoengsao province.

His wife ran into the room upon hearing him scream and helped separate the python’s jaws from his penis.

He fainted from blood loss but survived after being treated at Chularat Hospital.

After the attack, he replaced the toilet with a more modern version.

In 2020, a housewife, Boonsong Plaikaew, was bitten on the buttocks by a python while she was sitting on the toilet in Samut Prakan province.

Volunteers provided first aid and captured the snake, which was then released.

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where it lives in forests, swamps, canals and even cities, which leads it to come into conflict with humans.

The species is one of the largest snakes in the world and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
