“I wasn’t even 20 yards from him and couldn’t have helped him,” said Matt McCormick, who was picking up his son, the boy dressed in green in the pictures, after school. told Fox 4.
“I didn’t even give anyone time to cross the street. Nothing. Just goodbye.
“Once I found out he was okay, I was more really, really upset than anything that anyone would let that happen,” he said.
He added, “They don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to hiring drivers.”
“If it had slipped or whatever, it would have been under the front wheels,” McCormick told NBC.
“What bothers me the most is that he didn’t even stop to slow down or to see if the kids were okay. He just kept going, and that’s unacceptable.
The boy’s father filed a complaint with the Denton Independent School District, north of Dallas, the same day and attached the video.
Although the school responded with an email, it did not provide an explanation, McCormick told the outlet.
