The married father of three wore the traditional turban and beard of the Sikh religion after Gonzalez & sheriff's predecessor, Adrian Garcia, pursued a religious accommodation policy that enabled him to do so.

The officer had put a vehicle with two people in it when one of the occupants could leave the vehicle, approach the delegate from behind & in fact just shot him in a very ruthless, cold-blooded way & # 39 ;, said Harris County Sheriff Gonzalez twice.
