Texas Border Patrol Agents Find FIVE Unaccompanied Children at Border Carrying Pieces of Paper with Addresses in Empire State

Texas Border Patrol agents recovered five unaccompanied migrant children carrying notes with addresses in New York and Texas.

Texas Department of Public Safety agents found the five young children in Eagle Pass after crossing the Rio Grande with a group of 60 illegal immigrants, said Lt. Chris Olivarez. reported.

The children, who were between five and 11 years old, traveled from Honduras and Guatemala.

They carried paper notes with addresses of locations in New York and Texas written on them.

Stunning photographs showed the hopeful young people holding the pieces of paper.

One note from a girl said ‘Schenectady, New York’ and included a name.

Another young migrant clutched a torn piece of paper on which a Texas ZIP code was scrawled.

The arrival of the unaccompanied children comes after a 62-page report from the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Inspector General stated that “children who arrive in the United States unaccompanied are especially vulnerable to exploitation.” .

More and more unaccompanied children are crossing the border as time goes on: 128,904 minors crossed the border in fiscal year 2022 alone, up from 122,731 the year before.

Most of the children traveled from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Mexico, agency statistics show.

President Joe Biden will meet with officials in Brownsville on Thursday, ostensibly to push for passage of a bipartisan border security agreement.

The plan, drafted by a small group of senators earlier this year, would link border security measures to foreign aid for Ukraine, Israel and their allies in the Pacific.

The White House has called the package “the toughest and fairest set of reforms” in decades.

It includes increased funding for drug interdiction along with other Border Patrol operations, having been supported by the United States Border Patrol Union.

Meanwhile, Trump is also traveling to another Texas border town, Eagle Pass, ahead of the March 5 primary.

Eagle Pass has been at the center of Texas’ legal standoff with the Biden administration over the state’s right to enforce the border.

Operation Lone Star, which was launched in 2021 to counter the rise in illegal immigration and illegal drug trafficking, is still ongoing in the state.

As part of the operation, an 80-acre base was built in Eagle Pass for National Guard troops deployed to address the increase in illegal activity on the border.
