Tesla Cybertruck Delayed Until At Least Next Year, Elon Musk Confirms
Tesla’s Cybertruck and Roadster will be delayed until “hopefully next year,” the company’s CEO Elon Musk said in an earnings call on Wednesday. The announcement confirms previous reports that the electric pickup would miss its previous production date of late 2022.
“If we were to introduce new vehicles, our overall vehicle output will decrease,” Musk said. “We will not be introducing any new vehicle models this year.”

Indications that the Cybertruck might be delayed first surfaced in August last year, when the online reservation page was changed and later removed from the site. Musk said in early 2021 that few trucks would be delivered to customers by the end of that year, but there have been no deliveries.
The Cybertruck has seen some changes since its unveiling, including the addition of a comically oversized single windshield wiper, traditional folding mirrors and invisible door handles which were taken a closer look this week in a leaked walkaround video.
