Tesco loses partnership with Mrs Hinch after two years; Is she now launching her own brand?

Mrs. Hinch reportedly ended her association with Tesco after two years.

The cleaning influencer, whose real name is Sophie Hinchcliffe, is launching her first collection with the supermarket giant in January 2021.

Since then, the mother-of-two, 33, from Essex, has launched several collections with Tesco, which have spanned homeware and clothing.

Items in her latest collection included heart-shaped bowls, wicker baskets, and a “Be Happy” print in the influencer’s signature shade of gray.

However, only a select number of products are currently available on the website and shoppers have discovered items discounted to just 25p in stores.

Talking to the suna source close to the influencer — who boasts 4.7 million followers on Instagram — claims Sophie has chosen to end her working relationship with the company, giving her room to launch her own independent range of products.

‘Seeing Hinch Homeware on Tesco shelves was a real moment for Sophie,’ they said.

“She has made the difficult decision to end the incredibly successful partnership as she moves to develop other exciting projects of her own that would not have been possible while working exclusively with Tesco.”

Sophie hasn’t confirmed the news herself – but she hasn’t specifically published her Tesco ranges since September last year.

Since launching her Instagram account in 2018, the cleaning influencer has also partnered with Procter & Gamble brands — including Flash, Fairy, Lenor, and Bold.

As a director of Mrs Hench Ltd, Sophie submitted her accounts ending in April 2022 to Companies House in December – showing she had made £2.1m in the previous year.

Last June, Sophie spoke about Tesco via her Instagram feed on the occasion of the launch of her summer clothing collection.

Speaking on her Instagram Stories, Sophie revealed that her father was receiving hospital care after he “wasn’t blessed with the best of health.”

She added that her grandmother was also taken to the hospital after she suffered a fall, and told her followers that it would “undoubtedly affect her mentally.”

“My dad is in the hospital at the moment, guys,” Sophie said, explaining her Instagram break. My father was never blessed with great health – of his chest, lungs, and heart. He always struggled, you know.

She explains that, after her father’s recent retirement, he spent many hours building things for her new home in a specially built workshop in her garden, admitting that it was something he had dreamed about since he was a little boy.

Sophie added, “My dad is in very good hands and you guys are incredible nurses.”

Announcing the news on her page, she shared an adorable clip of her kids Ron and Lenny wrapping the children’s book, which she called Welcome to Hench Farm.

The £12.99 book, released in February, is based on the family’s move to their Hinch Farm home in Essex, and looks to guide children through the change, anxiety and excitement that comes with it.
