A couple was filmed confronting their neighbor through a peephole in an apartment door after they were reportedly told to close their party.
The video, posted on Reddit, showed the couple hanging in the hallway of an apartment building in Bondi, on the eastern suburbs of Sydney, when they knocked on the door and demanded that they speak to the woman.
“Neighbors had one of their usual parties on Sunday night, on the fire escape landing where my back door is,” the person who shared the video claimed.
“I asked them to shut it down because of COVID-19 when my kitchen window went back to this landing. This is how they respond. ‘
The woman said she had been given the doorbell camera to avoid opening the door to ‘annoying things’ like sales people or crazy people.
The footage started with the woman hiding behind the door of her apartment and the couple asked what the “problem” is.
The man spoke to the peephole and said, “Mate, we’re your neighbors next door, and I think it’s a good time to have a chat and discuss what’s the hell going on.”
His partner agreed, and she told the woman to see her “now” to “talk face to face.”
The increasingly excited couple said it was ‘not fair’ and the man labeled the neighbor as an ‘a ** hole’.
“Show your face, let’s talk now.”
The neighbor replied, “This is all recorded, you realize. ‘
“I’m not coming to the front door.”
But the woman in the hallway wondered “why” she wouldn’t come out for a chat and repeated “we’re all neighbors.”

The woman in the apartment said, “I have a compromised immune system, I cannot risk getting sick.”
The couple said they had the “best relationship” with other neighbors, demanding they talk to the woman.
The woman said she would bring the video footage to Strata.
The couple continued to knock on the door, speak to the woman, and try to open the door when she stopped answering.
In comments about Reddit, the woman explained why she hadn’t called the police.
“I live near Bondi Beach in Sydney, so I didn’t want to call the police because they have more important things to do in the area right now,” she wrote.
Bondi has been identified as the epicenter of the city’s coronavirus outbreak.
