The shocking moment a US Navy paratrooper landed on top of a mother and teenager during a San Francisco Fleet Week display was caught on camera.
Dramatic video shows the Leap Frogs skydiver flailing haphazardly in the air before landing amid horrified crowds on Sunday.
Their chaotic descent followed a successful landing by another skydiver moments earlier, several meters away at the landing site as spectators applauded.
People could be heard shouting ‘ohhhh’ and ‘oh no’ as the second skydiver floated before accidentally landing on spectators.
A witness who captured the chaos on his phone said the mother and teenager were “quickly rescued by the fleet week team” afterwards. They suffered minor injuries.

The San Francisco Fire Department added that the mother was taken to the hospital for further evaluation, while the teenager was evaluated in the field.
Dramatic photographs published by the San Francisco Chronicle show doctors carrying the mother from the scene on a stretcher as worried onlookers gathered around her.
The parachute failure occurred around 12:35 p.m. Sunday at the Armed Forces event at the Bay Area’s Marina Green, north of San Francisco.
“Our thoughts are with the individual and his family,” the US Navy said in a statement about the incident.
‘Safety is our number one priority. We cannot immediately assess what happened; however, we will review this incident to determine the cause.’
The paratrooper was not injured, according to the US Navy.
San Francisco Fleet Week is an annual celebration of the country’s Armed Forces.
Members organize air shows, flight demonstrations, and boat tours, among other attractions, for locals and tourists to enjoy.
Fleet Week is the grand finale to the summer event, which concluded on October 14 this year.
