At least ten people were injured after metal scaffolding collapsed on Dutch football fans during a friendly match in the Netherlands.
The gigantic metal structure crashed through the air, crushing football fans below in a cloud of dust as they watched Eredivisie club FC Twente and players from amateur team Stevo walk onto the pitch in Geesteren.
As fans screamed in shock, Twente players and spectators rushed to help those trapped under the crane as emergency services arrived.
Dutch state broadcaster NOS said 10 people had been injured and two were in serious but non-life-threatening condition in hospital.
Police have now secured the area and are investigating the sudden collapse.
Fans were engulfed in a cloud of red smoke as they lit flares and watched the players take the field.

Telegraaf reported that police had cordoned off the area and were investigating the incident, but confirmed that the area is now safe.
Fans watched as the payers took the field with loud music and fireworks.
As the scaffolding holding a banner collapsed, players ran forward to help the injured while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
Five ambulances arrived at the De Peuverweide sports center in Geesteren, in the east of the Netherlands.
There were also reports of trauma to a helicopter that was called in as a precaution.
Following the terrifying incident Twente posted on X: ‘We are in close contact with the supporters who organized the atmospheric campaign, with Stevo and the authorities. Together we analyzed how this could have happened.
“For now, all attention is focused on the fans who were injured and others directly involved.”
