Terrifying moment, lawyer is kidnapped by gunmen who shot his car in broad daylight in Mexico

A person waiting at a traffic light captured the final chapter of the endless violence in Mexico when a lawyer was beaten and kidnapped by a group of gunmen.
The daylight incident occurred on Wednesday morning after the attackers intercepted the victim’s BMW and left him riddled with bullets on a road in Tonalá, a city in the western state of Jalisco.
The video shows several cars driving by as the suspects attacked the man while he was lying on the ground.
“Dude, they’re going to take him,” said the passenger.
A group of gunmen were caught during a video call with a lawyer who they beat up and kidnapped on Wednesday in Tonalá, Mexico. The Jalisco Attorney General confirmed the incident but declined to comment as the investigation was ongoing

At least three men then lifted the lawyer by his legs and feet and pushed him into the backseat of a vehicle before fleeing the scene in two cars.
Jalisco State Attorney General Gerardo Octavio Solís confirmed the incident but declined to make any additional comment regarding the motive, other than investigators investigating his previous cases.
The lawyer remained missing from Friday. No arrests have been reported.

Alto Al Secuestro, a nongovernmental organization that tracks kidnapping data in Mexico, reported that 223 people were part of 171 kidnappings during the first two months of 2021. Statistics for March have not yet been released.
At least five of the victims have been kidnapped in the state of Jalisco.
The central state of Mexico is the worst in the country with 30 victims.
