Dramatic video footage captured the moment a helicopter crashed after taking off from a restaurant helipad in Medellín, Colombia, on Monday.

The pilot, co-pilot and four passengers, including a dual Colombian-U.S. citizen, survived.

One of the passengers was rushed to a local hospital and treated for a broken left leg and lacerations to his body.

Cellphone video footage showed the Bell 206 helicopter leaving for a sightseeing flight when it suddenly began spinning out of control.

A helicopter carrying tourists from the Hangar 45 restaurant to a local airport in Medellin, Colombia, crashed Monday afternoon just seconds after taking off from the building’s helipad. The pilot, co-pilot and four passengers survived, including an American with Colombian citizenship.

The helicopter became trapped between the side of a building and an antenna moments after crashing on Monday. Authorities removed the aircraft Tuesday as part of the investigation. All flights to and from the Hangar 45 restaurant are suspended

The plane plummeted and crashed into the side of a building, where it became trapped between the structure and an antenna.

A second video showed the pilot exiting the helicopter and holding on to a ladder attached to the antenna.

Residents rushed to the scene and helped the occupants to safety.

The Medellín Fire Department used several cranes to remove the helicopter from the scene early Tuesday morning.

The helicopter flight is part of a gastronomic experience offered by Hangar 45, a restaurant located in the Manrique neighborhood of Medellín.

Hanging high in the air, somehow everyone on board managed to get out and survive. One of the passengers suffered a broken leg.

The video shows the helicopter taking off from the roof of Hangar 45, a restaurant in the Manrique neighborhood of Medellín, before crashing

The helicopter pilot was seen getting off the plane and hanging from an antenna ladder shortly after the crash.

Customers are charged about $887 for a 12- to 15-minute flight from Olaya Herrera Airport to the restaurant, where they are greeted with a cocktail.

All helicopter flights have been suspended while authorities investigate the cause of the accident.

Luisa Osorio and her boyfriend Francisco Salas told Noticias Caracol that they joined the flight to record content for social networks to promote their career as a singer and their YouTube channel and they thought they were not going to make it out alive.

‘We have it. Literally when he was lifting he couldn’t do it at all,’ Osorio said. “He started spinning, spinning really fast and we said, ‘We’re going to die here.'”
