The woman revealed to local Italian media that the group kicked, hit and spat on her during the public attack.

In the disgusting images you can see two men getting into the carriage, both dressed in black.

One is wearing a white striped tracksuit and a sports cap, and with them is another man wearing black pants, a white sweatshirt and a cap of the same color, with a black bag on his shoulder.

As they boarded the train, they can be seen throwing strong punches and moving their legs backwards before kicking the woman who soon falls to the ground.

Recalling the ordeal, the woman said: ‘My only thought was the son I was carrying. I had to protect him and that’s why I always kept my hands on my belly. Hence the reason for the many wounds on my face: it was the only place they could hit.”

He added that he fell to the ground to take shelter under the seats of the train and prevent the attackers from hitting his stomach.
