This is the moment two zookeepers were chased by a 34-year-old Silverback around a gorilla enclosure at the Fort Worth Zoo.
A zoo staff member can be seen desperately trying to outrun the Silverback that is chasing her in a tiktok clip shared online on Thursday.
The angry gorilla knocks over a container of food while chasing the employee, who is hiding behind a door in the compound.
Visitors to the Texas facility recorded the women’s attempts to flee when the incident occurred in October.
Frightened by the women, people in the horrified crowd began to pray.
A Fort Worth zookeeper fled a male silverback gorilla that attacked her after she entered its indoor enclosure in October.
The male gorilla was supposedly startled when he saw the two keepers and attacked them.
‘Oh my God. God help her, God help her, God help her,” a woman is heard saying.
‘God protect her. God, animals obey the sound of your voice.
Other zoo patrons can be heard gasping and joining in to ask for divine intervention on the women’s behalf.
“Every day, zookeepers move the gorilla troop to their indoor habitat so they can place the animals’ lunch in their outdoor habitat,” but that didn’t happen that day, the zoo told DailyMail.com.
“Due to a mistake by the doorman, the staff entered the yard without knowing that the silverback was still in its habitat.”
The staff’s presence startled Elmo, the male silverback, a zoo spokeswoman added.

Frightened zoo visitors watched in horror as zoo staff calmly found their way to safety after the gorilla attacked them.
The Fort Worth Zoo confirms that no one was injured as a result of the incident
“Zoo keepers work and train these animals every day and thanks to their knowledge and experience, they handled the situation calmly and were able to leave the yard safely,” he said.
The second staff member hid behind a tree when the gorilla looked at her and confronted her.
Finally, the gorilla backs away and the second zookeeper is able to run to safety behind the closed door where the first woman is hiding.
Elmo is a 34-year-old gorilla who arrived in the Lone Star State a few years ago, according to the nonprofit Gorilla SSP.
“Originally born at the Buffalo Zoo and not on Sesame Street, Elmo headed to Texas to lead the troop there,” a 2022 group post reveals.
