This is the horrifying moment a giant crocodile suddenly pounced on a boat full of tourists and almost dragged them to their deaths in Bolivia.
The shocking moment was captured on video yesterday near the town of Santa Rosa by a stunned onlooker on a nearby raft.
The images show how a boat, which had five people on board, was almost capsized by the ferocious animal.
In the video you can see a tourist looking over the side of the boat, when suddenly a black alligator, part of the crocodile family, emerges from the murky water.
The reptile can be seen opening its huge jaw before sliding back into the water.
The woman recording from a nearby boat can be heard shouting: ‘Be careful! Be careful!’, as the crocodile leaves those on board screaming and screaming in panic.
“He’s angry,” the viewer continues, as the boat driver desperately tries to reverse.
Miraculously, no one was injured in yesterday’s near-miss.
Footage captured the terrifying moment a crocodile pounced on a boat in Bolivia yesterday, leaving onlookers and those on board horrified.
The images show how a tourist was looking over the side of the boat when, suddenly, a black alligator emerged from the murky water.
The reptile can be seen opening its huge jaw before sliding back into the water.
Alligators can measure up to six meters and weigh between 95 kg and 300 kg.
They can usually be found in Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Bolivia.
The scare comes just weeks after a crocodile attacked and killed a woman in a coastal village in northern Sumatra, Indonesia.
A 13-foot reptile pounced on Nurhawati Zihura, 46, a mother of four, while she was washing her feet in the sea.
Surprised locals heard her screams, but could only watch as the beast hit her body in a disturbing “death roll” to disorient her.
The crocodile then dragged the housewife away as it disappeared beneath the surface near Deaa Orahili beach in Pulau-Pulau Batu district of South Nias Regency.
Surprisingly, the animal emerged about an hour later clutching Nurhawati’s lifeless body between its jaws.
Chilling footage shows how locals threw dead chickens into the water to distract the deadly crocodile and force it to let go of the body.
