CCTV footage captured the dramatic moment a coyote chased a little girl through her backyard.
Charlie Schmidt was working outside his home in Portland, Oregon, when his 4-year-old daughter started running around the yard.
His children and a neighbor were playing together when his daughter said ‘dad, there’s a coyote.’
The girl jumped on a table to get away from the animal before her father shouted an insult and ran towards her.
Schmidt then sprang into action, grabbing his daughter and picking her up before telling everyone to come inside.

One of the other children can be heard yelling, “There’s a coyote, get in quick.”
Then the father disappears from sight with his daughter in his arms. No one was injured during the incident.
