Terrible turbulence left seven people injured and others covered in food after trolleys and luggage went flying during a nightmare flight from Istanbul.
Two crew members and five passengers were injured during turbulence on a Turkish Airlines flight to Taipei on September 5.
Two of the 214 passengers were taken to hospital for further treatment. The other injured passengers and crew members refused to be sent to hospital and followed other passengers through customs.

The Boeing 777-300 left Istanbul airport for Taipei at 16:59, carrying 17 crew and 214 passengers.
The Boeing encountered turbulence during the flight and landed at Taoyuan International Airport at 6:01 p.m.
Taoyuan Airport received a notification at 16:59 that flight TK24 from Istanbul to Taipei, scheduled to land at 17:55, encountered turbulence and required airport rescue support.
The airport company’s fire brigade was dispatched immediately.
According to official reports: ‘Several ambulances and emergency medical personnel were on standby at the scene.
‘The duty officer commanded the airport company’s initial response team and at the same time notified the China Customs Inspection and Quarantine (CIQS) clearance unit to prepare for the passengers’ customs clearance matters.
‘After the plane landed, Lianxin staff immediately conducted injury examination and first aid operations.
‘The plane remained on the ground for approximately four hours before departing at the scheduled time for its return flight.’
This comes after extreme turbulence on a flight from London to Singapore left one person dead and others injured after it nosedived for several minutes before making an emergency landing in Thailand.
The Boeing 777 aircraft operated by Singapore Airlines departed from Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom on May 20 with 211 passengers and 18 crew on board.

Flight SQ321 experienced severe turbulence while flying near Myanmar airspace in a region currently being hit by extreme tropical storms.
After about 11 hours of flying time from takeoff in London, the plane descended sharply from an altitude of around 37,000 feet to 31,000 feet in just five minutes as it finished crossing the Andaman Sea and approached Thailand.
Terrified passengers have described how they had little warning to fasten their seatbelts before the plane suddenly went down.
“Those not wearing seat belts were thrown into the ceiling,” one said, their heads smashing into the overhead luggage compartments.
