Teresa Palmer Reveals That Christian Bale Thought She Was A Real Stripper While Filming Spicy Scenes For Knight Of Cups — Only Realizing She Was An Actress A Week Later

But on Sunday, Teresa Palmer, 35, recalled the moment her former co-star Christian Bale mistook her for a real-life stripper while on set filming the 2015 movie Knight Of Cups — and didn’t have an idea until days later. that she was an actress.
Teresa discussed the faux pas on Instagram and shared a photo of herself with the Welsh actor, who she says used an American accent when they first met.

Teresa, who played a stripper named Karen in the experimental drama film, explained, “I thought he was doing method acting.”
“Once I clocked this up, I quickly jumped on the bandwagon and made up an elaborate backstory for my character and never told him the truth during filming.”
She continued, “I remember thinking, ‘I think this is what all fancy actors do, better for my game!'”
How bizarre! In 2015, Christian recalled his partnership with Teresa on the Evening Standard — admitting he had no idea she was a star until “about a week after he worked with her.”
Teresa added that she was posing as ‘Harper from Oregon’ to Christian, adding: ‘She’s the mother of three-year-old Mabel, studies psychology, dances because she likes it and does her best with acting, just for the fun! I like her a lot!’
In 2015, Christian similarly recalled working with Teresa on the Evening Standard — admitting he had no idea she was a movie star until “about a week after he worked with her.”
“We were filming in a strip club, and Teresa Palmer is there in her little silver hot pants and I ask her how long she’s been dancing,” Christian revealed.

Meanwhile, Teresa announced in February that she was pregnant with her fourth child.
In addition to a photo with her three children on Instagram, she wrote that she and her American director Mark Webber, 40, will soon be welcoming their “latest little love.”
