During an appearance on Kelly Ripa’s Sirius XM podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 52, embraced the philosophy laid out in The Godfather, seen in July 2024.
Kelly agreed, saying that you can forgive someone and move on, but deep down you always know they could betray you again.
—Yes, exactly. I mean, I forgave them because, again, my parents were around and I didn’t want to hurt them. My parents were so, after the baptism, the first scene, my father… —Teresa said, her voice breaking.
She continued: ‘My parents were really upset. They were like, ‘What?’ My brother and I were best friends. We always got along. We never fought. We were really best friends until this happened. Until the show.’
The Live with Kelly and Mark host asked if it was RHONJ that started the feud between Teresa, her brother and sister-in-law.
‘Well, it was a bit of jealousy because I was on the show and they weren’t, and I thought, ‘This is my thing.’
‘You know, it would have been so beautiful for us to be a united front and show America and the world that instead of fighting, to me this is a disgrace.
‘I tell my daughters, I beg my daughters. I tell them: ‘Please, always get along. That’s the only thing I ask: I want the four of you to always love each other and if one has something more than the other, you know, to enjoy it.’
Teresa added: ‘Everyone should be happy for each other and support each other, you know?
Meanwhile, there may be big changes in store for the cast of Real Housewives of New Jersey.
During a segment on his Andy Cohen Live radio show for SiriusXM, Cohen indicated that the cast could be completely changed in favor of “new faces” while chatting with a person who was angry about the cast and direction of the current show.
The woman, who complained that RHONJ is “so boring right now” and said she wanted to see longtime star Melissa and newcomer Margaret Josephs dumped in favor of keeping Teresa, was initially unmoved after Andy said there would be “big new changes to the show.”
After the caller continued to voice a number of complaints about the current season, Andy interjected: “We’re rebooting the show.”
‘Well, it was like a little bit of jealousy because I was on the show and they weren’t, and it’s like, ‘This is my thing,’ seen here in 2016.

“We’re going to reboot it,” Cohen continued. “We’re going to do something different.”
The caller went on to talk about Teresa’s presence on the show, before Andy appeared to try to finish his speech.
“Okay, okay. Well, we’ll see what we do. We’ll see,” the Watch What Happens Live host said, seemingly annoyed, as they ended the conversation.
“I don’t know. Maybe they’re just new faces. We’ll see,” he added.
