A 58-year-old woman from Tennessee has set the record for the world’s longest mullet, nearly equivalent to the height of an average man.
Tami Manis’ long, flowing auburn locks measure an incredible length of five feet eight inches.
A mullet is defined as a “short at the top and long at the back” hairstyle and is commonly referred to as “business in the front and party in the back”.
Manis, a Knoxville native who works as a public health nurse, said she hadn’t cut her hair in 33 years and had worn this hairstyle since the 1980s, the BBC reported.
The inspiration for this style, she said, came from the “Voices Carry” music video by American rock band “Til Tuesday.”
In 2024, his mullet will appear in the Guinness World Records 2024 book.

The mullet hairstyle that was all the rage in the 1980s and early 1990s was worn by musicians, actors, and more, including Patrick Swayze, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Mario Lopez.
Manis shared the last time she had her hair cut was in 1989 and immediately regretted doing it. Since then, her hair has never come close to a pair of scissors.
Her new world title is not Manis’ first win, in 2022 she finished second in the 2022 US Mullet.
