Product Safety Australia has issued a serious warning over a highly flammable Temu hoodie

Several glow-in-the-dark children’s hoodies sold on online retail marketplace Temu have been recalled over fears they could catch fire.

The hoodies were sold online across Australia between October last year and March, and Product Safety Australia reported one child has already been injured.

The recall notice said the hoodies do not come with a required warning label and pose a serious burn risk to children when exposed to heat or a source of flame.

“An incident has occurred which has caused serious injuries to a child,” it said.

Consumers were warned to stop wearing hoodies and keep them away from children.

Temu has also urged customers to destroy or get rid of the bridges.

“Consumers will receive a full refund from Temu on behalf of the merchant Sunshine Towels,” the recall noted.

The recalled sweatshirts come in four colors and styles: Pink Rainbow Unicorn, Purple Rainbow Unicorn, Blue Dinosaur and Space Planet.
