Thousands of Telstra customers are facing disruption across Australia.
Over 1,900 customers have reported mobile call access issues on DownDetector, affecting calls and internet.
A Telstra spokesperson confirmed the network was experiencing issues but triple zero calls were not affected.
“We are investigating an issue affecting some mobile calls,” they said.
“We are working on a fix and hope to have everything back up and running soon.”

The telco said mobile data was not affected so customers could use FaceTime, WhatsApp and Messenger to make calls.
Customers have reported inbound and outbound outages and failures.
Others said they were able to make phone calls but couldn’t hear the person on the other end once connected.
An alert on the telco’s website revealed the outage had impacted NBN’s voice and data services, with modems losing their internet connection.
“A maintenance firmware update for some business modems has caused these modems to lose Internet connectivity,” the company said.
“Our technical teams have been urgently working on a solution and we are performing a reset of some customer modems to resolve the issue.”
Telstra said the issue was resolved by 2:30 p.m.
“The issue was caused by a software change and was resolved by rolling back that change. There has been no impact on data or 000 calls,” a spokesperson said.
“We are sorry for the impact on people’s lives.”
