Teenager who took himself up and sexually assaulted and strangled his girlfriend was sentenced to life
A teenager who raped and killed his 15-year-old friend in Texas was sentenced to life in prison.
The jury took less than an hour Wednesday to condemn Jesus Campos Jr., 18, from South Houston, Texas, for the killing of Karen Perez, who made the automatic life sentence with conditional release in 40 years possible.
"I have committed various cases about murder & # 39 ;," said assistant attorney Jennifer Meriwether in a statement. "But the inclusion of Karen who has been raped and pleads her life before being cruelly murdered remains with me for the rest of my life. & # 39;

The police had found video with a black screen on the mobile phone from Campos Jr., where the final moments of Perez were recorded, KTRK reported.
During the trial, jurors listened to the victim who cried and begged him not to kill her: "I do not want to die, Jesus."
Campos Jr. had also shared a graphic image of Perez's lifeless body with other teenagers who refused to replace him by one of them who texting before texting, according to the Harris County District Attorney's office office.

Campos Jr. denied initially to know what happened to his girlfriend after she disappeared on May 27, 2016, but a tip eventually led to the discovery of the body.
Perez's body was later found under a countertop in an abandoned unit in a Houston, Texas, apartment complex according to KTRK.
