A teenager has been rushed to hospital after allegedly being attacked with a machete at a busy train station in Melbourne’s west.
Police allege the boy was approached by a group of people at Melton train station shortly after 5pm on Tuesday.
The teenager suffered a laceration to his hand caused by what police believe was a machete.
The alleged attackers subsequently fled on foot.
The teenager was taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed
